Frequently Asked Questions

Who uses Ad Acorn?

Ad Acorn is commonly used by Amazon sellers and brand owners who want to automate advertising tasks and improve account visibility through reporting. It is also used by agencies that manage multiple client accounts and need a way to switch between accounts and review performance efficiently. Aggregators and operators managing multiple brands may also use Ad Acorn to support scalable account management. The platform is designed to work for a wide range of customers, from newer advertisers to advanced PPC teams.

Account Connection and Onboarding

How long does setup take?

The initial account connection typically takes only a couple minutes. After connecting, Ad Acorn begins syncing reporting data in the background. The initial sync may take additional time depending on Amazon data availability and the amount of historical data being imported.

How do I connect my Seller Central account correctly?

To connect Seller Central successfully, make sure you are logged into the correct Seller Central account before starting the authorization process. If you manage multiple Seller Central accounts, you should open Seller Central first and confirm that the correct marketplace and brand are selected. For best results, sign out of any other Seller Central sessions, close additional browser tabs, and use one browser tab during onboarding to avoid connecting the wrong account.

When you begin the connection process in Ad Acorn, Amazon will display which Seller Central account you are granting permissions to. Review the account shown on the authorization screen carefully before selecting “Allow” to complete the connection.

Why does it say “Invalid Store Name” when connecting an ads account?

After Seller Central is connected, Ad Acorn will prompt you to connect the appropriate Amazon Advertising account. In some cases, a warning may appear such as “Invalid Store Name.” This can happen if the ads account you are connecting is not directly associated with the Seller Central account that was authorized, or if the active login session does not match the intended account.

If you receive this warning, confirm that you are signed into the correct Amazon Advertising account and the correct Seller Central account. If the account shown during authorization is not the one you intended to connect, stop and restart the connection process using the correct account logins.

I connected my account. Why do I not see data yet?

After connecting your account, Ad Acorn may take up to 24 hours to fully sync reporting data for the first time. During the initial sync, Ad Acorn imports up to two years of historical sales data when available through Amazon systems. Ad Acorn also imports the maximum amount of available advertising data, which is commonly up to approximately 90 days based on Amazon reporting availability. If you recently connected your account, it is normal for dashboards to take time to populate while the first sync completes.

What are the most common reasons a connection fails?

One of the most common reasons a connection fails is that the user completing the authorization does not have the required Seller Central permissions. Ad Acorn requires the appropriate access to connect through Amazon’s application authorization system. In many cases, it is best for an admin level user to complete onboarding, or for the connecting user to have permissions enabled for managing and authorizing Selling Applications within Seller Central.

Which marketplaces are currently supported?

Ad Acorn currently supports the United States and Canada. Additional marketplaces, including the United Kingdom, are planned for release in the near future. Other marketplaces such as the EU and Mexico may be supported in future releases.

Rules, Automation, and Optimization

What can Ad Acorn automations adjust?

Ad Acorn includes rule-based automation options designed to support Sponsored Ads optimization workflows based on predefined conditions. Depending on the settings you configure, rules may adjust bids, budgets, and placement settings, and may also support search term actions including the ability to apply negative targeting. Automation behavior depends on the rules enabled in your account and the specific configuration selected by the user.

Can I turn off automations at any time?

Yes. Automation can be paused at any time directly within the platform. To pause rules, navigate to the Rules page, choose either the Manual Rules or Automatic Rules section, and use the pause control to disable individual rules or pause multiple rules at once. This allows you to stop automation quickly while maintaining visibility into your account performance.

Reporting and Data Freshness

How often does Ad Acorn refresh data?

Ad Acorn refreshes reporting data multiple times per day. However, reporting timelines may vary based on Amazon’s data availability and system delays. In some cases, sales and total business reporting may take up to 48 hours to fully reconcile within Amazon systems. Advertising performance data is typically updated multiple times per day depending on the reporting feed available for the connected account.

Support, Security, and Account Management

How do I contact support?

Support is available through Ad Acorn’s support resources and by submitting a support request through email. For the fastest response, include your account name, marketplace, and a clear description of the issue you are experiencing. If needed, you may request assistance by phone to help troubleshoot onboarding or account connection issues.

What are your support hours and response times?

Support is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. Our typical response time is within one business day, and many requests are responded to in fewer than 24 hours.

How does Ad Acorn handle privacy and data security?

Ad Acorn uses Amazon’s approved authorization process and connects through official Amazon APIs. We do not store Seller Central passwords, and access is granted only through the permissions provided during authorization. Ad Acorn is designed to follow Amazon’s policies for API usage, data handling, and access controls. Data is used to provide reporting functionality and to support optimization tools within the platform. We maintain appropriate safeguards intended to protect customer information and comply with applicable Amazon requirements for connected applications.

How do I disconnect my Amazon account?

You can disconnect your Amazon account within Ad Acorn at any time by navigating to Account Settings and selecting the option to disconnect. Disconnecting your account will stop additional syncing and remove Ad Acorn’s ability to access new reporting information for that account.
